Over the last three years VeloConcepts has developed a reputation as one of the areas leading fitters and we are excited to announce that we have add the GURU Fit Experience to our fitting lab.
The GURU Fitting Experience is a multi-faceted, scientific approach to bike fitting. Â At the heart of the fit experience is the World’s Most Advanced Fit bike, GURU’s Dynamic Fitting Unit (DFU). Â The DFU is a computer controlled, fit bike that allows us to adjust the fit as you ride.
GURU Dynamic Fit Unit
With the computer controlled fit unit  we can quickly and dynamically change your fit as you ride.  Want a 5mm lower saddle?  How about a 10mm longer stem?  Those changes are made via the computer controlled fit bike through its use of small motors that actively raise/lower and lengthen/shorten the touch points.  These changes allow us to monitor your fit in real time and provides immediate feedback to you, the cyclist.  Once dialed in we can then use “saved” fits to easily switch back and forth (think of an eye doctor asking you compare prescriptions) between “fits”.  The result is a collaborative process between the fitter and the rider.
The DFU is also paired with a smart trainer which applies a consistent resistance and allows us to monitor your effort via heart rate and pedal cadence. Â This allows us a fit that not only improves comfort on the bike but power output as well.
Range of Right – Motion Capture
Through the use of GURU’s proprietary Range of Right system we incorporate the use of motion capture system during the fitting process. This system captures your riding at 30 frames per second and provides key fit metrics in real time.
By utilizing unobtrusive infrared reflective markers placed on the side of tech rider the system actively reads fit angles throughout the pedal stroke.
The end result is a perfect fit that you help select. And once completed the system generates the GURU Fit report delivers a comprehensive overview of a your fit session – featuring essential fit data and bike specifications needed to set up a new or existing bike. The fit report contains setup instructions to ensure that all measurements can be accurately replicated on any bike
