As many cycling fans will attest, the weeks around Easter host some of cycling’s most famous races, De Ronde van Vlaanderens and Paris-Roubaix. At VeloConcepts we love these races so it’s only fitting that we celebrate with a party and several rides.This year we had our annual Flanders Party and Ride on Sunday, April 2nd. The festivities began with a ride at 11 followed by a party and race viewing. While the weather was clearly “Belgian-inspired” with cool temperatures in the upper 40s and wind exceeding 20 mph, we had a great turnout nonetheless.
After the ride everyone ducked inside to sample of Carbonade Flamande. aka Belgian beer & beef stew, and sandwiches and of course belgian beer!
As the race-viewing geared up about 20 people gathered around the TV to watch Peter Sagan exert his dominance on the Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg.
The following Sunday, April 10 we again hosted a day of riding and race viewing of Paris-Roubaix, although the weather was much more agreeable and made for nice riding conditions!
