ASSOS SIZE GUIDE · PRODUCT CARE

Size ASSOS for the bike, not the mirror.

ASSOS cuts its kit around a rider on the bike, so the right size can feel snug standing still. Take three measurements, check them against the charts, and know what a good fit feels like once you're riding. Then keep it that way with the right care.

Two riders in winter kit ride side by side through snowy woods, both low in the riding position.
FIND MY SIZE

Three numbers, one size.

Use a soft tape measure over bare skin or a thin layer, snug but not pulled tight. Enter what you have and we'll match it to the ASSOS chart for the garment you're shopping.

YOUR ASSOS SIZE

Enter your measurements to see a size.

Sizes come from the ASSOS charts below. When your measurements point to different sizes we average them, with chest counting double for jerseys and jackets, and when that average sits between two sizes we recommend the larger one.

SIZE CHARTS

Every ASSOS chart in one place.

Shorts and jerseys use letter sizes from XS through XLG, plus TIR for men. Base layers, warmers, socks, shoe covers and caps use numbered sizes from 0 to III.

Bib shorts, knickers and tights

Measure your waist, hips and height. Each one points to a size; take the average. If you still land between two, size up.

STANDING UP

A little snug is normal.

ASSOS patterns its shorts and jerseys around a body bent over the handlebars. Stand straight in front of a mirror and the bib straps pull, the jersey front bunches and the chest feels close. That's the cut, not a size that's too small.

ON THE BIKE

Then it disappears.

Get into your riding position, hands on the hoods, and the garment settles into place: straps lie flat, the chamois sits where you sit and nothing flaps. Judge your size there, on the bike or in a riding crouch, never standing upright.

PRODUCT CARE

Technical fabric needs a little care.

ASSOS fabrics stretch, wick and recover better than ordinary clothing, and they last longest when they're treated gently. A few habits keep them working season after season.

01AFTER THE RIDE

Let it breathe

  • Hang your kit somewhere airy as soon as you're home, or wash it right away.
  • Keep it out of direct sunlight while it dries.
  • Never leave damp kit in a gear bag or plastic bag.
  • If you sweat heavily, rinse it in clean water after every ride to protect the fibers until wash day.
02WASHING

Gentle and on its own

  • Wash cycling kit separately, away from zippers, hooks and hook-and-loop fasteners.
  • Turn everything inside out first.
  • Hand wash, or machine wash in a mesh bag on the delicate cycle, lukewarm at 30°C (86°F) or below.
  • Use a mild liquid detergent. No bleach and no fabric softener.
03DRYING

Air only

  • Don't soak, wring or rub. Press the water out with your hands.
  • Skip the spin cycle.
  • Lay flat or hang to dry. Never use a tumble dryer.
04THE CHAMOIS

Keep the pad supple

  • A thin layer of chamois cream on the skin before you ride reduces friction.
  • After each wash, work a thin layer into the pad to keep it soft and elastic.
SIZING QUESTIONS

Before you order.

540.773.2400

For shorts and tights, average the sizes your measurements point to, and if you're still between two, size up. Jerseys and jackets are cut slim, so go one full size up if you like a more relaxed fit. Warmers depend on build: size down if you're slim, up if you're larger.
