We’re not talking about some mundane, serious ride where everyone is zoned out and focused on crushing it. No, we’re talking about the kind of ride where you can truly enjoy each other’s company and relish in the beauty of the outdoors. After all, isn’t cycling about experiencing the journey rather than obsessing over the destination?
We won’t lie, this ride isn’t for the faint of heart. With almost 3,000 feet of climbing and two sustained (not steep) climbs, you’ll feel that sweet burn in your legs. But don’t worry, we’ll have a “rest stop” at mile 32 so you can refuel and hydrate. Trust us, you’ll need it for the second half of the ride.
But hold up, hold up. We’re not a bunch of uptight cyclists with strict rules and regulations. No, we’re all about the double pace line style with quick turns at the front – makes for great group dynamics and keeps things fun. And don’t get us wrong, we’re not going at a snail’s pace. We’ve set our sights on a comfortable 16-17 mph ride – that’s a decent workout but also allows plenty of time to chat up your fellow riders.
For those looking for a little less cycling in their lives, we’ve got you covered too. We’ve planned a turn off from the main route that gives you a respectable 30 mile option. So no excuses to skip this ride!
